Frequently Asked Questions

What Does a Cleaning Involve?

Dental cleanings are recommended twice a year for children and adults. During your cleaning, your hygienist will remove plaque and build-up from your teeth to help prevent cavities and infections. If any periodontal issues are discovered they will be addressed at this time.

After your cleaning, Dr. Martin will perform the comprehensive dental exam. He will check any X-rays and your teeth for decay, check your gums for infection and provide a thorough oral cancer screening.

After the exam, any treatment that you might need will be discussed to formulate a personalized plan of care.
